Landscapes was founded in 2000 as a journal of landscape history and archaeology and it retains a core interest in the development of past landscapes whilst also being concerned with their continued appearance in present-day landscapes. Its scope is broad: prehistoric, medieval, post-medieval, modern and contemporary aspects of landscape all figure in its pages, and there are no geographical limits.
