Paragone Arte is dedicated to discussing and comparing different types of art, in particular, comparing painting and sculpture, as well as painting and literature. The term ‘paragone’ usually refers to debates about the merits of one type of art compared to another. In addition, it can include comparisons of different aesthetic approaches to painting, such as ‘colorito’ (colour) and ‘disegno’ (drawing).
A peer-reviewed academic journal published twice a year covering research on Middle Eastern history and culture, such as Quranic studies.
ZA publishes articles and reviews in all areas of Assyriology, including Near Eastern archaeology and art history. The main geographical areas covered are Mesopotamia, Northern Syria, Anatolia, Ancient Armenia, and Elam from the fourth to first millennia BC. All articles are peer-reviewed.
