The journal is a scientific publication devoted to philosophy and is published by the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Niš (Serbia). Most articles are published in Serbian.

The journal embraces the influence of Neo-Platonism, Aristotelianism, Patristics, Judaism and Islam on Christian medieval mystical theology, as well as interpretations of the tradition for today. Comparisons between medieval mystical theology and other traditions, such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism and Confucianism, are also within the compass of the journal. As the journal of The Eckhart Society, it especially welcomes scholarly studies of the life, work, and reception of Meister Eckhart.

Social Philosophy and Policy is an interdisciplinary journal with an emphasis on the philosophical underpinnings of enduring social policy debates. The issues are thematic in format, examining a specific area of concern with contributions from scholars in different disciplines, especially philosophy, economics, political science and law. While not primarily a journal of policy prescriptions, some articles in each issue will typically connect theory with practice.
